The seventh of the Quality Improvement Plan 2023 Monitoring Meetings was held under the chairmanship of our Vice Rector, Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır and with the participation of the second group of Application Research Centres’ representatives. The meeting, attended by the Quality Commission Members, and Quality Coordination and Strategy Development Board Representatives, was held in the Rectorate Meeting Hall on 28.09.2023.
In the opening speech of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır said that the Quality Commission Quality Improvement Plan 2023 Monitoring Meetings were completed with this seventh meeting and stated that these meetings were very productive in terms of sharing good practice examples. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır stated that the work carried out by all our units within the scope of the Quality Improvement Plan was presented and that every unit noticed its shortcomings by seeing the work of other units. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır announced that the good practice examples compiled from the units will be shared with the entire Institution.
Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır stated that our Application and Research Centres undertake great tasks in terms of both research and social contribution, and highlighted issues such as conducting the activities of our centres in line with the policies, priorities and objectives of the University; opening the doors of the Centre to all researchers and, in particular, developing inter-institutional partnerships; supporting research students at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels; ensuring the participation of student communities in the activities of the centre; making activities visible and transferring stakeholder opinions to improvements.
The Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır thanked Gazi University Application and Research Centres for their excellent work in terms of research and social contribution with their limited resources and gave the floor to the Centre Representatives to make their presentations.

Prof. Dr. Naki Güler on behalf of Clean Energy UAM (TEMENAR), Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kılcan on behalf of Turkish World UAM (TÜRKDAM), Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aslan on behalf of Life Sciences UAM and Prof. Dr. Şeref Sağıroğlu on behalf of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics and Security UAM (GAZİAICENTER) informed the participants about the improvement activities carried out in the first six months of 2023 within the scope of the Quality Improvement Plan. The Quality Commission Quality Improvement Plan Meeting, where various improvement activities for the quality assurance system were decided, ended with good wishes.
