The sixth of the Quality Improvement Plan 2023 Monitoring Meetings was held with the participation of our University Application Research Centres.

The sixth of the Quality Improvement Plan 2023 Monitoring Meetings was held under the chairmanship of our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır, Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, with the participation of the first group of representatives of Application Research Centers. The meeting, attended by Quality Commission Members, and Quality Coordination and Strategy Development Board Representatives, was held in the Rectorate Meeting Hall on 26.09.2023.

In the opening speech of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır stated that since our University is a Research University, our Centres have a great responsibility and emphasized that our Centres also play a critical role in terms of social contribution.

Reminding that our Application and Research Centres should carry out their work in line with the policies, priorities and goals of our University, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır asked the Center Directors to ensure that the academic world, primarily the academic staff and students of the Institution, effectively benefit from the centre facilities. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır stated that they expect support from the Centres, especially in supporting research students. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır said that effective cooperation should be established with student communities.

Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır stated that the results of the centre's activities should be made visible via website, social media, e-bulletins, etc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır underlined the need to ensure that stakeholders participate in governance processes and emphasized that Central Advisory Boards should be established and external stakeholders should be met at least twice a year.

Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır said that our centres should fully report the value they add to the Institution in their internal evaluation reports and announce it on their websites with the principle of transparency. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır thanked the application and research centre managers for their devoted work and support to quality processes despite limited financial and human resources and gave the floor to the Centre Representatives to make their presentations.

The Quality Commission Quality Improvement Plan Meeting, where various improvement activities for the quality assurance system were decided, ended with wishes.
