The fifth of the Quality Improvement Plan 2023 Monitoring Meetings was held with the participation of Board and Commission representatives under the chairmanship of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır, Vice President of the Quality Commission. The meeting, which was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, Quality Commission Members, Quality Coordinators, Board and Commission Representatives and Secretariats, was held on 21.09.2023 at the Rectorate Meeting Hall.
In the opening speech of the meeting, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır, Deputy Chairman of the Quality Commission, stated that the strength of our institutional structure lies behind our five-year full Institutional Accreditation and our success in national and international rankings, and drew attention to the support of our Boards and Commissions at this point. Stating that our Boards and Commissions, in which our internal and external stakeholders take part, are effective in terms of the effective operation of representation and participation these structures are the assurance and basis of the legitimacy of our decisions in the management of the University, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır emphasized that the unit structures of the Boards and Commissions are also of great importance in terms of spreading the decision-making mechanisms to the base.
Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli stated that we have become an exemplary institution as a result of the work carried out by around four thousand academic staff and nearly ten thousand staff in total, with the unity of hands and hearts. Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli thanked all Board and Commission Chairmen, Members and Secretariats, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız and Vice-Rectors, for their devoted work and contributions to quality processes and expressed his pride in being a member of Gazi University.

Özge Eken Karataylı on behalf of the Invention Evaluation Commission, Nuran Özbek on behalf of the Revolving Fund Operations Project and Activity Evaluation Commission, Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Yıldırım on behalf of the Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aslan on behalf of the Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee, Yusuf Kütük on behalf of the Internal Control Monitoring and Steering Committee and Internal Control Coordination Group, Lect. Mehmet Gülsün on behalf of the Quality Management System Working Team, Prof. Dr. Özgür İlke Atasoy Ulusoy on behalf of the Risk Monitoring and Steering Committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Nazlı Güngör on behalf of the Social Contribution Committee and Prof. Dr. Murat Tolga Özkan on behalf of the Board of Application and Research Centres informed the participants about the improvement activities carried out in the first six months of 2023 within the scope of the Quality Improvement Plan. At the meeting, Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Gürcü Erdamar also gave information about the activities of the Coordinators. The Quality Commission Quality Improvement Plan Meeting, where various improvement activities for the quality assurance system were decided, ended with wishes and requests.
